Farmers ought to hold onto prime stock if possible, nows the time to flex our power as the primary producer. Dont believe the scare stories peddled about prices going lower, lets turn the screw.

There is a run on food and we hold the keys to the cupboard, dont forget that.
We might not have any choice but to keep ours for a bit, three of my local marts have taken the decision to close for a minimum of three weeks.

Not looking good for the immediate future down here.

Yes Carmarthen is still going and the closure of the other three could be a well needed blessing for them.

I don't know the reasons for Whitland to close but I can guess. Its a massive shame as I felt the trade there was better for my stock.

I didn't go today as I didn't need anything.

Many people aren’t sat at home on 80% though . A lot of people are self employed without a bean coming in .
Why do you think nearly a million people signed on for universal credit last week. So I think some farmers need to wake up and realise it won’t be steak night for many .
Well you, have no cattle so won’t give a flying fudge...just have to hope barley drops to £70/T to make up for less on the cattle
