Finish is more important than weight. At the current prices it’s a compromise for sure!
I’ve got mule whethers that can be a 4L at 34kg this time of year yet also running texels and charollais which need to be 44kg to be a 3L/H. In the autumn those mule whethers will grow bone structure and then become 45kg 3L’s again. I’ve tried multiple times to find out the average age of lambs when they put on bone structure but have never found anything on it. At a guess it’s 18-24 weeks

Slightly different way of working it out, but I have read,
(Average of ewe and ram weights) ÷ 2 = lamb finish weight

How much truth there is to that I don't know..... usually just need lambs gone cause we're drying out.

Could anyone advise where best to go with these 14 month old pure limi bulls, live or dead weight or store market? Tia

i would go store market. Send the market some good photos and ask them to put them on their website to advertise for 10 days prior to taking them in.

Location will make a difference.
They seem to get good trade for bulls further north. Down here I wouldn't dream of taking bulls lw.
Any idea of weight?
