I wasn't at Carlisle but the report suggests it was a bit behind that, the average for steers and heifers at Thirsk looks similar to the top at Carlisle, they must get tremendous cattle in.

Sold a 35 month full Angus heifer out of the field this week £1500 she was about 730kg. Happy enough with her price not the fact that she was meant to be in calf.

Thirsk probably gets the best quality well finished cattle in the country every week, with plenty of buyers wanting both quality and numbers.
The bull trade looks way better than Darlo, I know the lads that topped Darlington bulls this week and their bulls are top notch, as good as anything in Thirsk but the prices aren't. The fact pearsons aren't buying out of Darlington but out of Thirsk must be pushing the job on in Yorkshire.
I really hope dfam can get on top of this and catch up. Having said that the clean job seems to be flying in Darlo.
