About £4-£4.10/kg. Bulls like those at those weights do 63-68% from auction weight. Best E grade fed stock bulls can do over 70%. Still a good price considering weight/age compared to mainstream deadweight but the firms buying these aren’t putting them into plastic trays on supermarket shelves

By the time it’s boned out they yield so well it won’t look dear meat compared to My R grade dairy blues at £3.80 this week but as said earlier it hasn’t the imported competition at the moment that normally controls the price of that type of animal. I don’t think Tesco has shelves big enough never mind trays to fit the sirloins from those bulls on...
