Acklington and some other Thursday fat lamb markets down a clatter today.Any reports from Darlington or Longtown?

Did anyone go to the breeding ewe sale of Swales on farm at Northallerton today?

Thirsk fat cattle still a very trade lots of cattle over £2.50p/kg best up to and over £2.80p/kg. No sign of any price drop in live markets.

Dingwall Mart - this auctioneer could give elocution lessons.

That’s Paul Spencer, previously of Lanark Mart I think, but been up here for a while. Funnily, he got a slagging from the press a while ago for being inaudible.

He's the clearest auctioneer I've bought off! And he's a Scot while I'm English. Couldn't believe it when I first got up there. Was expecting to only understand every 10th word!

Today was Dan I think - certainly the part I watched. He’s also a decent orator.

He is an obvious one off! All the Scots auctioneers i know are almost unintelligible.Grant Anderson at Carlisle is hard to make out the 100 he is in.

I wonder whats happened? The £ / Euro exchange is still favourable.Maybe the Hospitality job having an effect already.

Cold weather and grass going quick, folk offloading lambs.....

I think there wil be plenty of stores put through the fat over the next month which wi knacker the fat sales slightly. Let’s hope and pray people take them store if they aren’t finished

Pretty sure its 4.50 same as last week. Ive been going live last couple weeks. Been hearing dunbia are buying out the rings under a different name....

They've been doing that for a while. The buyers are buying them under their name. Then they go on a lorry too Dunbia...

I saw some first cross texel 43kg @ £83, if it had been me I would of opened the gate and brought them home. As I have said before on here (tin hat on)JW is not the Auctioner that I was led to believe
