Cattle trade seems to be ramping up , McCartneys knighton held the Brecon and radnor association suckled calf sale today and they went mad for them. Steers averaged 291ppk and hfrs 267ppk . Calves around the 300kg sailing over £900.
Anyone tempted to cash stores earlier?

I am. We would normally sell February/march but would get close to prices we normally get now.

Who knows what's going to happen once we have left EU. I fear prices could plummet.

I think store cattle prices are soaring because people think the fat price will be higher once we have left the eu.

I would have been a little miffed at them weights but they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea I suppose and they can’t be killed.

As you say I find selling ewe lambs is a lottery especially for tex x
