Anyone tempted to cash stores earlier?Cattle trade seems to be ramping up , McCartneys knighton held the Brecon and radnor association suckled calf sale today and they went mad for them. Steers averaged 291ppk and hfrs 267ppk . Calves around the 300kg sailing over £900.
What cross? What weight would they be?Sold ewe lambs hereford today v disappointed to be honest. Texel x, 30 big enough to tup smart heads £88.
That ship has sailed
Same here , picked the one wanted out of breeders finishing shed , sold as seen , always worked fine .We have drawn some of our best bulls out of barley beef pen. Have worked fine.
I think store cattle prices are soaring because people think the fat price will be higher once we have left the eu.Anyone tempted to cash stores earlier?
I am. We would normally sell February/march but would get close to prices we normally get now.
Who knows what's going to happen once we have left EU. I fear prices could plummet.
Texel x improved welsh by Texel x Blue face ram. 48kgish some more some less. Did think about bringing um home cause ill say the fat trade will strengthen now but dipped um Sunday so would have keep um another month on feed.... Funny old selling ewe lambs 8 always think. What cross? What weight would they be?
I would have been a little miffed at them weights but they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea I suppose and they can’t be killed.Texel x improved welsh by Texel x Blue face ram. 48kgish some more some less.
