70p per pig per week I think, you pay bedding water. They pay feed. Not as rosy as it seems but good cash flow that's why banks like it I presume.Any idea what sort of prices these contracts offer?

I think that’s what it is too. Easier to understand the accounts. For the financiers70p per pig per week I think, you pay bedding water. They pay feed. Not as rosy as it seems but good cash flow that's why banks like it I presume.
Banks will like it because its transparent easy to calculate. Having a calf to rear up to a cow, to rear a calf that all might die doesn't float a bank managers boat70p per pig per week I think, you pay bedding water. They pay feed. They’re probably being bought for the kids to keep them busy and occupied in lockdown , not to make money40£,for motherless lmbs, jesus.
Cattle sheds or old silage pits are fast converted for no where near that cost. Straw cost takes the shine off though 2000 pigs will go through more than you think. You've also got to like mucking out a lot and stinking like nothing else.x 2000 pigs and it's not a bad income. Sheds approx £250k though I heard, on a greenfield site.
Safer money than in eggs I suspect, with less capital tied up?
Have they suddenly found a stack@?They would just about go deadweight but certainly not liveweight!
Only 995 store lambs penned, if they were about this trade would certainly draw them out.
Even more good news for the hard pressed beef/sheep sectors as i have just been told straw is dropping in price, delivered is back £20 ton already this week to £130/40 for barley delivered into Devon this week.
I don't know anyone that actually produces pigs in any number (other than B&B). No idea whether @Suffolk Serf would be at liberty to divulge how incredibly wealthy he's becoming?
thats going to need huge expansion of cattle / sheep ,and legume crops "do away with artificial fertilisers "There's a lot in this and most the paper's are quoting from it, worth a read..
