Like I say, they aren’t for everyone. Almost certain most folk won’t want the hassle of blackie lambs!

It’s no secret the cheap lambs come out of the north. But there is always a catch! You can’t just buy and turn out from up there. That puts a lot of people off!
Like buying Welsh hill lambs, all horns and balls with the added bonus of scab 🙄

I am surprised that no one has mentioned on this thread the shocking case of the 2500 odd head of cattle that were exported from Spain on a boat in December due to land in the middle east that have been on said boats since they loaded 2 months ago as no country will take them for various reasons!

Which just shows what an utter farce the UK governments proposal is that UK animals may not be allowed to move 5 miles down the road in a livestock trailer if the forecasted temp is predicted to be below 5 degrees.................

Is Bluetonque still a problem in Spain?

Bluetongue is always a problem throughout the Mediterranean. The problem here is that they should have been tested before loading and certified clear. They may well have picked it up in transit as it is endemic in North Africa and with the right wind conditions affected Midges can travel 200 miles or more.

Must be one hell of a welfare issue after all this time on that boat.

What are they going to do with them?? they cannot come back to Spain yet cannot be off loaded anywhere either!
