Could be depends what they were like. The store sale tags on the back of the breeding sheep in the same ring so all the store buyers would be there and wouldn’t be shy of buying any to kill
You think they would kill the in lamb hogs due in March? I guess they’d get away with it. They’d be fair lumps I bet. 60kg plus probably. Lots of those hoggs came from my end of the world.

No these last 2 bunches are out of a shed and on the market scales in less than an hour. The £124 ones were out of a field with empty bellies I gathered them a bit too early in the morning and they didn't get a chance to fill up because it hadn't gone light very long. Find you usually lose a couple of kilos doing that so try not to do it.
Lol 😂 apart from ewes straight off the mothers which are held inside for 4 hours pre loading everything else is in overnight to empty out, none of this sending with full bellies 🤦🏻‍♂️

No they wouldn’t kill in lambers, knowingly sending a heavily pregnant animal to slaughter they should be struck off. 😡

Lambing them, taking the lambs off at a few days old to give to other ewes, waiting a few weeks and then killing might work but it’s a lot of work 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s morally wrong to kill in lamb sheep and I’d of thought illegal to a certain amount of weeks from lambing. The empty hoggs would most likely be killed. You have to be daft to buy a empty for £130 when you could have a lamb out of one for the same money. Be cheap replacements if you’ve the space to keep them.

Yeah glad we’re on the same page on that one I must’ve miss read what you’d put before

No I didn’t mean the in lamb ones I meant the geld hoggs. I’ve seen them bought to kill.
Maybe if the inlamb hoggs were intended to be sold from the outset they probably never thought they would be worth more geld at tupping

Yeah by no stretch would I think that was acceptable practise. It was more phrased as a question. Unfortunately though I imagine there are instances where morals and laws are forgotten when money is involved.

All of it easy to know afterwards I guess. Just thought they’d be worth a few quid more than that.
