trouble is with leek you have a week in the autumn and a week in the spring when you can fill up, i missed the one in the back end, you have to go to every sale!

That seems to be all over the place this year, my wife had someone ask her if we’d sell some at £60/bale. For a round it was picked up within an hour

Dirt cheap, probably rebagging it for pet rabbits at £1/500g - don't undersell yourself. Hasn't anybody told you it's short this year?

All I would say is that @Al R should feel proud that she took the lead in selling the bale and collecting the cash, and if she kept it he should not hesitate to shop her to the tax man!

Know this is price tracker but we went on Hols to Norwich what a beautiful city but did not see much livestock about have they got less.? In the area? Going back hiring a boat on the broads when this is all over.lovely area Grandfather used to send lorry loads of cattle from Wales in the 60s and 70s near Kings lynn. Think next generation ploughed all the land. Take 12 hrs to drive one way and would bring straw back in the box. Used to send an iced Salmon from the Wye time it got there it was melted!!
