A larger entry with overall quality not as good. Trade was again very good throughout while showing a slight easing. Locals John Brown and Matthew Keel shared the top spot with heifers selling for 298.5ppk.
62% of all cattle sold for 240ppk and above with 9 passing 290; 10 280-289; 26 270-279; 27 260-269; 22 250-259 and 17 240-249.

Ref 2021 silage season, one of the largest dairy herds in the county knocked down a very small % acreage wise of their first cut this week of around 300/400 acres this week....

Yields were VERY light to say the least!
Baled and wrapped mine today . Baled them tight cos it was young . 85 bales off 10 acres ......pleased with that !
