Ah a “shepherds lawn” as my dad would call it. The only grass on a sheep farm in April is always the bloody lawn!
Really?
My lawn is filled with cade lambs so is equally as bare as a birds arse.

I won’t show you how much grass my tips have then never mind the rest of them [emoji28]... got my grass going perfect this year... shame nothing else is ewe for its head in a creep feeder yesterday and hung itself, lamb dying from pneumonia just picked up out the field, went through my dry ewe hoggs yesterday... 1 lambed in the fudgeing pen, 1 is a fully entire welsh mule tup and the 75% are bagged up ready too lamb [emoji24]
It's an easy mistake to make, although admittedly my interloper only made it as far as Christmas...Have you looked at those ‘dry hoggs’ at all this winter? Would a fully entire Welsh Mule tup not have bagged up noticeably some time ago?

You have no idea how many hoops that tup has jumped through too get as far in life as it has [emoji85] mortified is an understatement... it missed being balled and tailed, at weaning I personally checked over all my welsh mules too pick the ones I wanted too keep as replacements and turned them over and checked they didn’t have a dick and marked the ones too keep.... I then rechecked them mid august too make sure I was happy with the ones I was keeping, turned them over checked there feet and mouths killed a few that’s mouths didn’t quite sit right... the tip broke on with them at tupping so they were
All scanned in November and all empty... including my tup lamb [emoji24] the scanner was either laughing her pansy off or some how didn’t notice his massive ball sack when she reached under I even dagged them all out in December and never noticed it’s balls...
At least he’s worth a good price now, assuming he hasn’t shagged himself to a hat rack.[emoji106]

I’d be over moon personally these BALLS up’s can often pan out nicely. He should give some nice easy lambs.View attachment 955179

They might be worth more than the puresMy pedigree coloured ryelands aren’t over the moon that they’re in lamb but like you say should be a nice easy lambing tup and they’ll hopefully all lamb outside pretty sharpish otherwise I’ll struggle get them too tup in September for next year [emoji85][emoji85]

But not a telephone operator at the samaritans! He'd be enough to depress Ken Dodd! You could be a consultant guthery
Thems some soggy chips right nowYeah very inspiring, pîssèd right on his chips
Spread some prilled lime on , kills the acidity of the dead grass producesSpray it off and go over it lightly with a power harrow ,quite fast, broadcast the seed on and roll them in . Job done !
It will be rocket fuel, all leaf no stem.

Put a hopper out with them with ad lib hogg nuts. Lambs will get onto them also and wean start July with everything in good fettle. Lamb crop should more than cover the cost.Bunch was 35 pulled 23 out that are bagged up so nothing world ending just not sure how they’ll turn around for the tup in September with the rest the ewes... another 2 this morning [emoji28] might lamb outdoors next year this is easy [emoji23][emoji23]
