He seems to that on fire one week and nothing the next be interesting to see if he's operating in Darlington tomorrow

75/80% of our sheep go back through Bentham finished, the remainder go through Longtown. Used too buy most of our mule ewe lambs there too. Only stopped as had a change of breeding, more SBF less swale. Damn good auctioneers, very keen and obliging. They actually pay attention if you have a problem rather than just laughing and walking away.

What day is there store lambs sold on? Do they live stream it?

Every other Tuesday, yes it’s on live stream. Pretty sure all sheep sales are online?

Not yet, still a month too early for me yet. Doubtful I’ll get much from Bentham, Greg is too good at his job. But he knows where I am if he gets stuck.

Did you see any calves sold? Still good trade? Not been for a month now. Got some for next week.

Calves selling very well
Bought 4 lim bull calves month old av 290ish all sired by Hamlet
Not the biggest but happy with them know where they come from which always helps
Saw some nice chars make 400+

I’ve always thought it makes them worth an extra £20 if you know they come from a good outfit? Out of Good cows and fed properly…

AW for one man anyway. Years ago we used to share a Glan Paterson lorry from there when Richard Matthews used to buy for me in there and Carmarthen
