We were all talking about a fella that buys lots of cattle rather 'aggressively' a few weeks ago, I think someone said he was from the York area.

I reckon he might get paid more than the rest of us.........
There was a sheep buyer who bought rather aggressively
Only for a couple of years though for some reason 🤔🤔

The next Weekly Sale is Tuesday 7th September and will include Primestock, Cull Stock, Store and Breeding Sheep, Store and Breeding Cattle and Store and Finished Pigs.
We expect around 100 cattle and a catalogue will be produced.

Please ring if you have cattle to sell as it is important over the next few weeks, we have an early indication from sellers of stock they wish to offer so we can plan for sales in September. It is, as always, essential we know when you intend to offer livestock for sale.

We will hold livestock sales every Tuesday throughout 2021 – all dates will be confirmed on our website.

Breeding Ram sales in Ashford 2021
Monday 20th September

Catalogued ram sale and the annual show and sale of South East Texel Groups breeding females and rams at 3pm
Friday 1st October
Romney Day sale of ewe lambs, ewe tegs and breeding ewes together with Romney Sheep Breeders Society show and sale of pedigree rams
Friday 15th October
Store lambs and breeding sheep including catalogued ram sale
These will be the only days rams will be offered in Ashford this autumn

Romney Day 2021

Friday 1st October here in Ashford Market

The usual large entries are expected of ewe lambs, ewe tegs and breeding ewes with show classes for the best pen of 25 or more ewe lambs and tegs.
The Show and Sale of pedigree ram tegs will also see up to 80 sheep offered and these will be judged by Paul Boulden.
The ram classes will be sponsored again by Karim Boomey of KFS (Animal disposal).

There is a new trophy for the females this year, ‘The David Roberts Memorial Trophy’, which has been kindly donated by Boyd Roberts in memory of his father David Roberts. Many of you will remember David as one of our long established, secretary’s and will be presented for the best run of ewe tegs on the day. Boyd will be presenting the trophy on the day in the ring together with a bottle of fizz sponsored by Julie Lukehurst.
