I like them both they are characters. When graham cracked me on top of head with his stick as a young en I called he a twit under my breath. He heard me and He laughed and said i was right
Never met Grahem but Robert lost any chance of any future business of mine through pure laziness or arrogance I’m not sure which one… … possibly the latter… not many auctioneers these days with much about them really…

Seriously strong show of Hexham blackie bred mule ewe lambs in Hexham today. A pleasure too see such a nice show of sheep.
Top price £230 for 1st prize
2nd prize £205
Several other strong first pens £170-£195
3rd prize sold early in the sale at £150, half an hour later would have been another £15/£20
Smaller tuppers 135-150 (still very smart)
Strong runners (would tup on a good farm) £120-135
Smaller runners £100-115 (not many in that category)
Only a couple of pens sold below £100, potential for a bit of spurious breeding…
Cheviot Mules
Small but Excellent show of lambs. All strong tuppers. £142-£155 I think.
Didn’t stop too watch the continental ewe lambs sold.

Swaledale gimmer lambs looked a very good trade at Middleton today. Don't know for sure but would say they must of averaged around £100
I know nothing about swales (some would say I know nothing in general :ROFLMAO:) but do people only sell there worst swale gimmer lambs?
Surely if you went to the effort of keeping swale ewe pure you would keep all the best lambs a home.
If this is true at £100 average they are mental but if most are good sheep £100 doesn't sound to bad for mule breeders.
