I’ve said the same for years and I even told an environmental land agent who has a big anti sheep/farming agenda (his idea for 10 cows per 200acre) that I hope I see the day he starves and that farmers are actually wanted again! Bring back the napalm and dozera and we’ll clear some ground alright!Busting a gut to produce cheap food that no one wants to pay for no one gives a sh!t just want it cheaper and cheaper half the people don’t even want you to produce it the half hate your guts cos we get subsidy , what a job ! Why do we bother , they also thjnk half the time we trying to poison them as well …. I hope I live long enough to see food shortages I really do ! Treat farmers like sh!t reap what they sown .
Nationwide, heard of 1 flock 30% barren. 1/3 the amount of triplets at 2 of my closed flocks and empties double but still sub 4%hearing sheep scannings are down a good 10-20% in the march lambing flocks is this something that’s nationwide or just in my area ?
30% Barron would be a disease though, there’s always a couple of those about. If every flock is 10-20% down that’s going to make a massive shortage of lambs next year.Nationwide, heard of 1 flock 30% barren. 1/3 the amount of triplets at 2 of my closed flocks and empties double but still sub 4%
A few were £6 last week, it should have been a bit lower apparently but with it due to rise again it wasn’t fair on those that sent on the 1 low week so their hoping to average itI know it`s supposed to be a price tracker thread so I`m wondering if I dare ask on here for prices for lambs dead weight next week . Heard a rumour of one outfit nicely below £6. Obviously live are down a bit but this seems a bit harsh if correct.....
ABP Kingswinford - looks like lambs down ewes stand-on for next weekI know it`s supposed to be a price tracker thread so I`m wondering if I dare ask on here for prices for lambs dead weight next week . Guessing Wales will still all be an NVZThe water companies pollute like no tomorrow, back in the summer we had a tip off to tell people not to go swimming in the local harbour as the sewage works couldn’t keep up with a ten fold if not more in occupancy so the sewage was going straight into the harbour where thousands per day would visit as it’s very sheltered. For months it was brown there

Yeah that’s all my area although I’m further westDidn’t realise you are at Porthclais! Stunning place with that sodding great pipe down the side… disgraceful. Great ice cream in the cabin at the car park![]()

I hate to tell u to but spoke to feed rep yesterday & he says creep price will be up £30/tonne again May 1st.......... It's eye watering...Must be knocking on ten years ago now, butcher in local village used to chop up some lambs for me and I happened to ask how much he was charging for his lamb, he produced a leg from out the back an said “if you want that it’s £50”!!
Now that’s ten years ago, so the problem isnt the price we’re getting, the problem is, the men after us can’t take as much profit out of our product as they have been doing for years previously!! They’ll have to adjust their sights to making smaller margins like we have to when our costs go up!! We’re about to start lambing 1400 ewes, me my Mrs an two helpers, me an Mrs doing night and day, alternate nights, couldn’t afford to pay night staff, the lambs ought to be feckin £500 a piece, who else would do it!!
Looks like he has massive knees
