Sadly your hand will be forced when you have to replace at some point. Ten year old machinery now is unrepairable without a laptop on the whole and the potential repair bills can be over half the machines value. I know of a guy who sent a £35,000tractor for repair, got a £22,000 bill, couldn’t afford to pay it, no money up front no tractor back, the only way to leave the dealership with a machine was to trade it in as a deposit against a new one on finance. I am convinced this has been the long term plan by manufacturers, it’s horrendous.
Pay by the clock hour hire one is the best way no money out laid and they come out if it breaks on a Sunday no bill no worry with lap top no depreciation maybe I’m wrong but seemed a good way to go tbh with last one

Usually a minimum, they wouldn’t give me one doing 300hr a year I wouldn’t have thought just like they wouldn’t do an annual or weekly charge to the guys doing 3500+ hrs a year

HAve you seen secondhand values ? It will all be exported anyway , they don’t want old cars bad for the environment in a high wage society 😂

Been told that the Adblue systems are becoming harder to bypass on modern European lorries so the African export market are buying Chinese lorries and machinery instead!

Combined with the congestion zones which are being introduced in most cities perfectly good 5+ year old vehicles will soon become scrap, just highlights what a load of b0llocks the green agenda is.

A pedigree cull ewe sold for a vascular dementia charity by the vendors who were selling it on behalf of their father who is a very well known breeder/ seller of pedigree sheep/cattle across the UK and who now sadly suffers from this illness made an INCREDIBLE £1000 on Monday.

Sold first to the principal sheep auctioneer at £200 then put up for sale two more times by cull ewe buyers after bidding £200 a time it went on to sell for £350 to a local meat company and then after hearing about it a regular vendor at the market very kindly offered to give £50 to make the total to £1000.

Well done all involved.

Prime Hoggs slightly stronger at Holsworthy today.

The above shows the value of the live system v this one sided supermarket COP contract rubbish you love Neilo...

If the supermarkets had their way the prime hogg deadweight price would start with a £4 or even a £3.

Oh, you’re off on one again are you? 😂

You might have missed my reports (on sheep I’ve sold, not mart gossip;) ) but almost all of my lambs have been going through a live market since this time last year. Iirc I’ve sent about 50 dw in that time, but carry on…
