conveyor belt production , closed shop , various euro issues , and you cant "store" pigs (or chickens) , if price drops , a warning to not loose live markets .As a humble sheep farmer I feel very sorry for pig producers, could someone explain why pig prices are astronomically low?
Only came back with a trailer load of strong blackies. Bit of a struggle really everything seemed dear compared to what’s going through the fat. They look good but I’m not digging in enough proceeding with too much caution. Tried with many lots but ended up in the late £80’s £90’s.Did you buy many today? What did you think of the trade?
There’s only a few pounds difference between a gimmer and an old ewe the gimmers are a better buy all day longI had some stores at Longtown, averaged £116. Pleased with that .
In lamb ewes didn't look out the way. Came home with 10 chev mule gimmers had all the jags etc, scanned twins £178.
