Creep at £370 and everybody keeping too many to finish off grass

Creeping might just be alright this time even at £370, not many doing it, creep them and get them away, certainly wouldnt change system if its a system thats worked other years.

I’m sure he would. I will be selling lambs in the 70’s more likely and buying a few in the 50’s.

Suckler cow and calve outfits to £7000 @£5500 @£5000 and so on. ( guineas as well i think they were sold in as well ) .

Yes I believe so, good pedigree I believe but not my field so would have know idea bout that but wouldn't say no to waking up look at them in the morning

Well for all the doom and gloom, I’ve been away for a couple of hours and buyers are queuing up for the hoggs
On a serious note they are a mixture of home bred Tex x Chev Mule and Suff x mule. Plan is to shear this week sell the Suffolks Mid summer for early lambing and Tex x a bit later. Last year with trade as it was I couldn’t afford to keep the texels and they were sold in the fat
The Suffolks were bought as well bred mixed strong stores with a view to spreading my chances with the ewe hoggs if the spring Hogg trade wasn’t as fast.
Time will tell if my marketing strategy is the right one

Got the ewe hoggs in to avoid the rain so we can shear tomorrow

Auctioneers been calling for lambs to be creeped rather than sold not quite done. They accept and understand that creeps dear though.

Come too think of it I reckon I could happily have an account with a £30 limit if I found someone willing too take them… preferably someone with a wheel barrow too help unload the decker on arrival…
