These folks that buy five figure bulls must have to buy the other half dear too!!

Was thinking this morning, makes bulls look cheap if cows and calves nearly 4k.
Its just what gets in your head though isnt it, your mindset!

Yes that’s probably one of the same fellas I’m thinking about takes some doing but fair play to them they’ve bought them like that for years

Likely in a big way and got established, if its a case of buy them or pay the taxman we would all do it!

I’ve bought a lot over the last few years and had a bit of a clear out with older stuff
I would be happy enough just to add a few cows into the herd at the moment because I can see a lot needing replacing all at once as it is in the future. Usually cows don’t have the depreciation so they can come and go it’s just finding them. Managed to buy a few but not many.
One I bought last August for £1500 third calver has a calf running about here worth £1000 and calved again yesterday that sort of stuff

Likely in a big way and got established, if its a case of buy them or pay the taxman we would all do it!

I wouldn’t dare bring them up here. Anyone who brings southern cattle up here would get some black looks or qualify for a fat ear on a Saturday night

In general you might be right but this blokes cattle would
be quality .I see they are fully health tested as well.

They reckon they nip it in the bud each time, fuk knows ? Comes to loads of testing like some do i will sell them lifes to short for all that crap with tiny margins anyway .

A lot in the north of England have been inconclusive reactors luckily you probably will be getting the same in Scotland no doubt

Always used to then packed in when we started getting a bit more for our stores
Sold 49 this year up to now averaged £1280 so didn’t think there was any point really
