I
won't be many sold then. price closer to £7 in markets as the week closed.
42kg in the market @3.10 £130
20kg dead - £6.50.
definitely a wee bit behind, must be expecting it to drop next week.

42s in a lot of markets is 44-45kg at home. You got your lambs dying out well at 20s. 42s Friday over 135s
depends if you weigh them after your and their lunch! and then take them off to market b4 your and their breakfast. I would agree then.42s in a lot of markets is 44-45kg at home.
I take your point, but also depends on the market. Some weigh on arrival, some when sold. Some have a reputation toodepends if you weigh them after your and their lunch! and then take them off to market b4 your and their breakfast. I would agree then.

5-6 months I'd be looking to wean the bull calves or at least get them separate from the ones with heifer calves you could leave them on their mothers for a long time if they aren't with the heifers.Ok for a suckler cow what age should I wean calves, cows are all back incalf. Males are entire as we will use them on the dairy herd, what age will they start causing problems as in with heifer calves similar age/size?View attachment 1046706View attachment 1046705

There's a bit of a shortage of Flakes at the moment...
UK Flake shortage is adding to the 99 problems we're already facing this summer
It's the latest blow in a summer of looming issues.metro.co.uk
Mainly caused by the fact that @spin cycle is eating most of his wife's ice cream van supply and that Cadburys are now making them in Egypt of all places
Welshpool auctioneers asking for 38kg tup lambs to be shown separate tomorrow to capitalise on Eid trade so lambs should be ok ( this week at least)12 months ago on Tuesday I sold 30 lambs average £2.36 .. wonder if we are gonna get a drop like that next week
Thanks I'll separate them into two groups this afternoon and estimate heifers as a precaution. Now .....if there are heifer calves in with them the same age/size .
Its not really about what or who you support , its just facts.
Sheep values have doubled since brexit, whether its because of brexit , or because of the effects of brexit who knows, but no sheep farmer can say brexit has been bad for the industry.
