Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

Maybe not a lot to be made out of the hogg job, folk still selling them now just over the hundred, cant tell me they have paid, unless they were almost given them!
They were alright if you kept the ones that weren’t worth much to start with or bought with caution but still no records broken after all that
Sold some lately £120 ish for tail end sorts best trade of all season

Shearing lads were saying yesterday. These store lamb sales get earlier every year. Those little lambs shouldn’t be getting weaned yet. They need this next month on their mothers to really get them going. Those bigger better sorts will take no harm. But the smaller ones, it’s too soon.
If they do well they get fat too soon if they don’t it kind of spoils them

We broke no pots, it wasn’t much very excited when I’d finished paying the bills. But alright. Certainly had worse years! Although a few I know who got a bit carried away in November/December haven’t recouped all costs when everything was accounted for.
Best trade I had was January by miles!! Over £3/kg avg the whole month. Must adjust the crystal ball! 😂😂

What’s rugby done too upset folk then? Iv had nothing but a pleasurable experience selling there last few months.. only negative I can see is if you like too stay and watch your sheep weighed and sold it could be mid afternoon before you see that 😂
I do not sell in Rugby but just reporting comments made to me by a local seller about the situation, other comments on here would seem to back up the comments !?
Heard they were turning ewes away, I wanted to send some but they weren't very keen so I'll take my business elsewhere.

melton,be a lot of ex rugby vendors there!!

I use both but I know where I feel more appreciated. As you know there's a lot of men in Melton that would have been rugby all there lives. Ml has done a good job getting the ewe numbers and trade to where it is now just don't tell him!

Few gone to Thrapstone too!

Telling regular customers to feck off won't help
