I was thinking other way round I reckon I could get us a glamping pod a piece by the side of a beautiful lake and have change left over for the price the diesel would cost too drive up there

How far North, Lambs get better the further up you come. 8Th and 15th August for best ewe lambs- Caithness Half bred and NCC. Think on line bidding available as well.

Shearing lads were saying yesterday. These store lamb sales get earlier every year. Those little lambs shouldn’t be getting weaned yet. They need this next month on their mothers to really get them going. Those bigger better sorts will take no harm. But the smaller ones, it’s too soon.

Those real young lambs will stand still at best, if not go backwards!! Still babies, they’ll melt like butter in the sun

Surely far to early for stores lmbs, is skipton next week or the week after, surly if good fat are around 140, good stores should be at least 100.

Just had the catalogue for Bentham on Tuesday. I was seriously thinking of trying 80 singles. I reckon strong lambs will be a flying trade.

I don’t get above Dingwall. That’s an 8 hour drag. I haven’t priced haulage yet for this year. Could set the whole job off wrong yet. Don’t want any lambs before the end of August, need space to stack them up
