We’re burnt right off here, west mids, I’ll have to start feeding the cows something in the next week if something doesn’t change! The rain has gone around us, very annoying
Went round measuring grass on Monday and I'm pretty sure I'll have to shut the ewes up on hay somewhere after weaning or I'll have nowhere for the lambs to graze.
Been very frustrating watching rain go around us both sides I've seen lines in the road where the rain has stopped in town a mile away one side and on the other side a mile or so away towards Ruthin as well 😒 neighbours have been saying the same. Started carrying water to store cattle as well 😕

Meanwhile I took my neighbours boar and 2 sows to mart today, boar was massive, I reckon near 4-450kg! He only just turned around in the box. 2 sows were 300+kg.
1 sow, £45, another sow identical £20. Boar £2. Absolutely shocking!!! If I’d known they were going to make that I would’ve driven the extra 50 mile and had them killed for sausages.

Boars shoulders were 24-26” across

A lad had 2 old boars one went to the slaughter house and one went to the mart
The one went to the mart made £60 the one went to the slaughterhouse he had made into sausage and sold it to the caravanners for £400
He asked the buyer at the mart why he only paid £60 when the other made £400 for sausage
The buyer said. ‘ you haven’t got 70 wages to find every week’

We’re the sausages edible from an old boar? Asking for a friend 🤣 my wife went chicken oriental when she found out how much it went for, she said I should have taken it for sausages too, I thought they’d stink but to be fair he didn’t smell when I smelled his shoulders like when a ram does
