I'm not going to like that but I agree 100%, don't the supermarkets normally forward buy it in October I've heard the nz stuff is dearer lets hope the supermarkets lose money on them
As much as it loathes me to say...I can't see these Hoggs getting much dearer tbh...someone I know had some Hoggs away as stores the other day that were big but lean as wood for £70...apparently today a big good Hogg was struggling to make £80! I sincerely hope in March they come good for them!

You never know its only just gone Christmas and people are skint a lot in this country will of had wages before Christmas and wont be having anything until the end of the month so they will be 5 weeks without money and the credit card bill will be landing at the door the last thing people are going to buy is a luxury item like lamb, give it until the middle of feb there will be a bit more money about here and on the continent, a bit more talk of a hard brexit will see the euro at over 90p and lambs will be a hell of a trade

here's to wishful thinking:D

Had a slightly mixed trade at Frome today,
23 month Angus x heifer sold well at 1170
10 month blue x steer sold well at 790
8 month blue x steer sold well for what it was at 655
9 month blue x heifer was hard to place at 540

overall trade was very good for lim and blue but there were some charly, sim and hford that were not quite so fast

this was for younger stores, we didn't stay to see the older ones sold
