I don't have a catalogue, and won't be there lol. If you're talking about the gimmers that are first in, they might be related to some of your existing bloodlines. He's bought a good few tups from John in the past.

I couldn't tell you. I'm just aware there's some pure Texels forward. Wouldn't mind seeing catalogue I might have came up if there's a decent number entered... If I'm buying any females this year It'll be a handful pures but I'm hoping to keep away from Lanark and Carlisle (but I bet I'm at Lanark next week 😂)

Did you start on a green field site?
We bought a lump of hill off another farm that was split in half , the bit we bought was the out bye shepherds cottage with a bust set of sheep pens n old tin shed or two , we built a new farm yard and still building , reclaimed 150 acre for silage ground built a bungalow did up and extended another cottage , taken 32 years and counting ,,, trouble is i get ideas 😂. Ive spent more on one shed than the place cost 😂 it can be ruff in winter its pretty exposed , if i have heard its noce here on a sunny day but hats off to you for staying here in the winter once ……… 😂 i have had ups and downs over the years equally as dramatic bad luck but good luck , one thing i have learned is you always need a litte good luck to run with a new plan , always need luck on your side but as my old
Father used to say you create your own luck … he was right ..

your old fella was right too many sit about moaning and never do anything. I go mental about things when I’m not happy but still get on with things

From what I’ve seen you and your family should be proud of your efforts !!!!
Thankyou, its all a very long story that stems back to ww2 with mu dad getting evacuated onto a hill farm and wanting to farm, starting with small holding rearing calves in the 60s 70s , moving into dairy , moving here predominantly for cheap land and nicer area …… i learnt my farming off my brother and engineering/ joiner ing off my dad , i just soo keen on it all , days i wish my enthusiasm for improvments etc would
pee off as my bank account dont match it 😂.
