One good thing about it going for allotments is it will be used by normal people to grow food. And they can see how hard it is to do and hopefully appreciate what they buy more than they do.
And after a few months will think fork this for a game of soldiers and go get food from the shop , while the allotment is full of muckweed 😁

At the time there was an alternative to coal.
Plenty out there who think there is an alternative to our type of farming now though 🙁🙁 we know they are wrong 🤷 just like the miners thought back in the day 🤔🤔
Punjab region of India will run out of water making rice production tricky and just how sustainable are cashew nuts better sticking to natural products that come from natural sources (grass) think I’ll stick it out for a bit yet 🤞

If they have as much hassle as I did off the kids and dogs it might be a tad entertaining for them . The kids on the neighbouring estate are just ferel.....and so are their parents !

When they took away subs in NZ more folk in support industry went bust than farmers.
Spoke to the manager of an ag company this week and he said they weren’t getting any more net wrap or plastic wrap in this year (fair enough) ........because they didn’t want to carry stock into next season due to the price, to then be told it will likely be a lot more expensive next year to buy (my mind is thinking an opportunity for profit) and the next sentence......I was told the company were bringing in 40 new tractors to stock ........pretty sure if/when things get tight I’ll still buy the net wrap ........ not so sure I’ll order that new tractor though 😂😂😂😂😂

Was told one company dropped the price of plastic this summer cos they couldn't shift it ( everyone made hay). The rep lad said how can you drop the price.
They said they make it all year round basically charge what they want to make profit had nothing to do with price of oil.

If it gets any dearer there will be more pitted. In the olden days father had a mate with a big loading shovel like a Terex thing and just dug out an earth pit another place we just made a heap in a field and sheeted it
