I had a dis pointing trade with my Hoggs today, went to the local auction as short on time with lambing and calving. Never know what the trades going to be like there as so few buyers but thought trade was up so I would be ok. Was unlucky to be drawn second in and had a crap trade nearly brought two pens home but one buyer offered me a few quid more a head so sold as its a ball ache bringing them home again. Won't do it again though !
Good Cheviots 42.5 £77.50 41 £75 37 £64 should have been a fiver a head dearer I thought

Sounds like Welshpool must have been the trade of the week @sherg (y)

I had 44kg at £87, £86.50 and £92 (5 that were pure Charollais & Beltex X). 51.5kg @£89.20 (& glad to be shut of).

Went home for some ewes and had 21 Highlander & NZ Texel cull ewes @ £86.

@Northeastfarmer haha no not quite ! I would have glad of paying £2 to sell her rather than a bill for disposing of her as @Poorbuthappy said .

@neilo I'm sure you can imagine what she looked like :ROFLMAO: . Dry ewe that was kept back to fatten up a bit , but had other ideas and went downhill fast and probably weighed about 25kg when she went. Bright eyes and walked onto trailer just looked like a Holstein .
