Only get the 5p on O+ and above. ABP will have to pull their finger out to get any more cattle from us. VIA cost us 20p on our last load.
Yeah I forgot to mention that! Merthyr were very short of cattle 2 weeks ago, only had 140 in one day! From our experience have always been better off at merthyr than ABP.

Merthyr stand on 3.51 with dairy sired the same price as beef sired, 280-380kg +5p

For feck sake:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

They are NOT giving you a bonus on cattle under 380 kilos.

What they are ACTUALLY doing is REDUCING the top weight limit to 380 kilos and then deducting 5pk for anything over the top weight of 380 kilos..

Just like ABP deduct 10pk for anything over 420 kilos, but the difference is ABP DONT use the price for over weight ie 420 + kilos as the base price!

Why were that GUTH...had a difficult calving so could not make it....

Every pen in the market was full!

Massive entry of store cattle (950 ish head ) massive entry of stirks ( 450/ 500 head ) every sheep pen full, over 500 calves penned.

Trade for stirks really was off the clock, anything half suckler bred and a steer would easily be £900 +, calve trade was just crazy and as for store cattle, well... Trade just got dearer and dearer as the sale went on and many people left with half empty trucks such was the trade! most fat cattle would be FAR dearer than on the hook, super entry of BELGIAN ( @Henarar :ROFLMAO: ) Blue cattle for Yarcombe young farmers with the heaviest steer at a massive 885 kilos smashing the £1450 mark, the ring was packed from 10 am when selling started and there was still only standing room when the last beast was sold at 2-30 pm..
