The promotions are coming off beef next week so I was told so it's bound to have an effect but they can't exactly discount lamb against it at the moment.
Edit, actually if numbers start coming out over the next few weeks, that's probably exactly what they will do. Depressing thought.

Lambs in Rugby held firm this week. More buyers back and all actively bidding on lambs. Only 2500 in. Saw some heavyweight quality texels 48kg to £115. A lot of well meated heavy lambs over £100.

Carlisle set off like that, but buy the end trade had easily dropped £5 maybe £10. When I went through, buyers heads down, just taking turns :(

39kg £79-80 :( :( nearly £15 back on the week. Probably should have brought them back and sent on the hook. Where is the DW price at this week?

There were 7 last week and 5 at the start today. Fancy Longtown might be sticky in Thursday. By the time I get organised with 70-100 ewes. I won't have time for lambs. But maybe the next week as will have cleared most of my ewes by then.

Michael Lomax and Jason Tucker are the best buyers at Longtown, but i think Lomax has started to go to Carlisle as well? He walked out before the end of the hoggs last Thursday and the price dropped £10 head.Dawson has started to buy a few more at Longtown, but that could be short lived.
