That's essentially what I find very few cattle on the current diet pay for themselves above 650kg on my farm. But that is just probably due to the cost of the diet. Waste products that mo! uses will change that. Anything that drops below the paying for themselves is up the road.
I think we aren't ruthless enough, we should weigh more...currently looking at a computer package to help with that. We never get O+3 so it is tempting to try for 4L in the hopes that they make O+4L.

We got the tru test bars an then linked it to some farm software. It has the eziweigh7 head so once the animal is in. Every time you weigh it'll give you instant readout of dlwg. Cost 1500 quid or so but worth every penny.

We have an ez weigh 7 which is great but then have paper alongside which slows it down. Our race only fits 5 cattle which is slow too.

Intresting today on a sticky trade that Mo's buyer starts them at the right price whilst some of the other big dealer buyers jump in £50/100 too high and get knocked down on that maiden bid.
If they keep doing that, they wont stay "big dealer buyers" for very long! Cant recall ever seeing that happen at Carlisle in both rings.
