How did they grade/weigh?
Just noticed they put them down as steers - never done that before!
The O+ heifer was a twin always known as 'Tiny'.
Bull lw weighed full 2 weeks earlier -
200 658kg
199 686kg
209 658kg
214 618kg

Bit of a story to it as 214 wasn't supposed to go, but 211 was. Couldn't believe it when they rang saying wrong passport - I'd read (in the early morning poor light) 214 as 211 3 times when sorting. Must of been a bit of dung on the tag. I know, I'm a terrible farmer!
(Could be why they're down as steers as had to wait for passport to be killed)

Any more info wanted? (and don't say COP!:D )

I sent a bullock in the last batch where I only read the last part of the tag and had two cattle on the farm with the same number...couldn't believe it when I got the phone call to say wrong passport, by the time they received the passport it missed the next day's killing so was two days after leaving :banghead:

That's not good. Being a bull they (and i) were keen it was killed same day and haulier/agent was very helpful.

Last time I made a mistake with a passport was a BW bull for butilaar which had gone to woddheads/spalding. Had left it on the photocopier :banghead: Anyway, they killed it that day as soon as I had emailed a scanned copy through. But they insisted I sent the real one recorded post as it wouldn't be allowed to go into the cutting hall till they had it.

Elected not to send lambs (also abp) at 425 as they were only around 42kg at home and figured some more weight would pay. I may live to regret that one.
Hhmmm,
Could only manage £80 for 43.5kg live (183.9p/kg) here last week for well fleshed lambs. The job appears to have gone into freefall. Time, as you say, to hang on for a bit:confused:

Pleased to see the thread is back on track - when it does 'what it says on the tin' it's very informative/enjoyable and can even help make marketing decisions:whistle: Plenty of other threads on here for conducting 'debates';):p

:( just come out of retention from dipping. Have a trailer load of 42kg+ should really take them tomorrow, but going to use a potential harvest day as an excuse to hold and hope the trade improves a little.

Ofered £3.90 dw, then this morning told they had too many so could I wait till next week, some are around the 50kg mark so may risk the mart, always the option to bring them home
