Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

Sold store cattle at thame yesterday, gather to a similar or same trade as previous month. When sorting my cattle I was speaking to sheep auctioneer who happened to say he was a few lambs short that day for buyers. Shot home, mad rush to get in tag and trim odd one up. Sold 57 I would guess between 20/28 kilo, real end of run, twins out of mule hogs, made 59, I thought a real good go

Ask @farmerclare and @Henarar for todays sedgemoor market report on store lambs thou I expect they are still hauling home all the cheap pens they bought today(y) thou the last load will only be half a load as henarar wouldn't bid on the pen of usefull but cheap lambs that young farmerclare wanted so I expect he will be sleeping in the cubicle shed with the cows tonight from the look on her face when I last saw them..:LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Cattle thou today at sedge.

One hell of a baby calve entry of some 600 head ( must be a market record ) with selling not completed until nearly 4pm sold to a flyer for well bred sorts but much easier for second grade animals.

Stirks, the very top end were a very strong trade on a par with recent months but second grade/ young animals were a much cheaper trade on the week and many were cheaper than the baby calve trade in real terms.

Store cattle, a usefull entry of some 800 head which saw trade much stronger for feeding heifers of R grade or above but very strong steers/ heifers would be £50 head cheaper than previous weeks.

Breeding ewes were a selective trade.

Of all the what I think very good things ive sold over the years, those run of the mill few store lambs Friday are probably one of the best sales ive had!! Makes a mockery of the good fat lambs 17 kilo heavier that are going Monday probably to a tenner and a bit premium!!! Madness on both fronts

Got some lovely 15 month Angusx heifers to sell, did you see any sell? Would be ideal as bullers
