Ewe trades been pish since end of July.

Ewe trade was better in September than now. The problem was too many people have thought they were going to make a fortune out of grazing ewes and artificially kept the price of plain ewes up, whereas the meat ewes have been worth very little.
If you look at the slaughter statistics you can see why the price is low and unlikely to increase by very much, to the end of October 11% less ewes had been killed than the year before. This is not looking good if all the extra ewes have been tupped or are still on farms waiting to be killed.
