Prices in ruthin werent quite as good today either i averaged £1.98. Cant remember the weights or prices per head dad just phoned to tell me they were down a bit. We averaged £2.02 last weekI would say hoggs were back around £3/hd on the week at Shrewsbury which puts them just a bit better than the week before. There weren’t many more out which is encouraging as if this trade doesn’t bring the numbers in they obviously aren’t there, numbers a little up in other markets though I’m told. Lighter weights for me this week as I’ve decided to sell them while the goings good, might have to miss a week now as I’m well on top of them.

Do you think they might have tumbled to the fact that the heavier they are the less they cost per kilo to process. Just a thoughtJobs all tops turvy now.
Used to be 40 kg was priced best. The more over that the lower per kg price. Seems to be opposite nowadays.
I seem to remember they wanted everything to fit in plastic trays of a certain size.Do you think they might have tumbled to the fact that the heavier they are the less they cost per kilo to process. Just a thought
The job's gone completely the opposite to last year for no obvious reason.Do you think they might have tumbled to the fact that the heavier they are the less they cost per kilo to process. Just a thought
