So what the hell is going on then? Or does anyone know? It p!sses me off to be honest, because it just means that all the good lambs that have been sold in the last 4 months or so have all been mucked away! If they can pay it now, they could have paid it then! It is no way to market our lambs! There has got to be a way to level it out for a good decent price right through the year. There should be no excuses, cold stores surely cannot be that expensive to build and upkeep.Hell of a trade today, market average was 217ppk.
My best pen of 39.5kg made £96 and even my big 60kg ones made £116 .

Thrapston market report reads well, here’s to a good 2019
I’d happily see lambs get to 4.50 and then just stay there,They'll have to be a bit sharper than that next week if there having my lambs when there averaging 210p + at market
I know! That's £20/head more I was getting today than 2 weeks ago for the same lambs. It's a £1000 on the trailer load !!So what the hell is going on then? Or does anyone know? What happened? Umm the government said prepare for a no deal, so the men who make money dealing in lambs are doing as you suggest, filling french cold stores. Heavys to £116. My £180 dont look so far fetched now....So what the hell is going on then? Or does anyone know? If this is the case, how come the likes of Fresh aren’t pushing the price on? They mainly export I believe, so surely they’re the ones with the most demand? What happened? Yes, the current lowered ewe price is in a way more worrying, as there should be consistent demand from the ethnic market. Any ideas what's going on?I’d happily see lambs get to 4.50 and then just stay there,
It’s the cull ewe job that needs to be woken up
Woodheads stand onany word on beef prices for next week.
