No the store defo is not being run down, its far busier than the local large Tesco store just across town.

For whatever reason/s they are not wanting to/ unable to supply the store with much/ anywhere near enough fresh meat like beef/ lamb.
I will be ringing Morrisons in the morning...GUTH get on the the NFU as well let them do something about it as well ..not just talk about it, I have a feeling its down to the branch management...like all companys some have useless staff who just take their salary...lets get on the case big time

I know, that’s why I want the pictures!
I can’t believe the contrast from the stores up here....as soon as guth takes the pics I will be emailing them for an explanation
Wouldn't it be nice if they emailed back and said ..... the shelves are full to overflowing in the morning but due to recent demand we can't keep up with restocking during the day ...... we live in hope !!

I put the news on the other night when I came in and there was a piece about reducing red meat down to a lower amount or altogether due to greenhouse gasses and health risks.

A few weeks back when Morrison’s were running a £5/kilo offer on topside my father went to Malton and Scarborough stores, neither of which had any on the shelves. He went to customer services at both who told him they had ordered a set amount and only half had turned up. With computerised stock control most items are automatically re ordered so it’s probably more of a logistics problem further down the chain

The price tracker thread isn’t the place to discuss TB valuations, BUT could it be that his pedigree dairy cows were considerably more valuable than your suckler cows?
Having been on that side, I very much doubt that he would have had many at £9k, if any at all. It would always have taken an exceptional cow (& back pedigree) to achieve anything like that.

To suggest he was somehow keeping TB going is frankly ridiculous, and just giving BS ammunition to Brian May and his disciples.
With a green eyed attitude like that, I’m glad you’re not my neighbour.

I apologies to you neilo and anybody else if I have offended but it wasn’t my intentions, it is no bs talk I’m not like that I can assure you.

There definitely isn’t the green eyed monster here I’ve helped my neighbour nigh on most of the winter to feed his stock as he was unable to leave the house.

Totally agree that this should be a price tracker thread and I will stick to it in the future.

I hope had e nuff has had a banging sale as if Darlington is up for some bazar reason so is Carmarthen and I have cattle to sell.

Well over 2500 spring lambs at Exeter today.. Trade down by £18/20 head across the board, making around just over £2 kilo .

Collection centre doesn't want anymore lambs this week if they haven't already been booked in.
