Thanks for the tag, but I'm not sure what I can add here. Ensus is the UK's biggest ethanol producer and it is closing at the end of April for "maintenance." How long it is closed for is unknown but with a depressed crude oil price, bio ethanol producers are up a certain creek without a paddle. If anyone can fill a demand for alcohol, they can yet they are still closing. That's less demand for grain and less brewers grains for the feed market.

Alcohol sanitiser is also heavier than ethanol. Usually propanol or butanol but my industrial organochemistry engineering knowledge is somewhat lacking...

I’ve not complained about anything....the only stores I’ve bought are ones I can see a profit in
hope no offence but as a cereal producer who knows the cost of production. a beef finisher who knows the cost of production and a contractor who sees the waste on some farms no wonder they need so many out bidding me at the mart.

£30-35/t ex farm less than wheat for new crop and no malting premiums. Undercut by even cheaper maize.
Don’t think many have pinned their hopes on ensus for a while, that an vivergo within an hour of where I am and have been shutdown for maintenance (meaning it doesn’t stack up) numerous times in the last few years.
