Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

They intend to change the rules from the start of the scheme apparently!

The Gov have basically run out of money, if they hadn't printed 200 billion the last few weeks and currently they would actually have run out of cash, the situation is that bad!
I was thinking about this, is this not the same as dropping the speed limit on a motorway by 10mph then fineing anyone who has driven over 60mph in the last year? I don't see how thay can change a grant condition retrospectively,(grant =gift not loan.)

I have some smart 3/4 Breds to go. They will only be just touching 40kg at home I can’t decide what to do with them if I dare leave them another week or two or not.
I would think price is about to drop due to the number of lambs being sold. Nearly 5000 in Welshpool today, so could be better to sell them now.

I haven't furloughed any so it not even relivant to me but just seems a bad plan.

Either that or millions will end up on UC and the Gov certainly don't want the latter!

Intresting comments on the GTH market report for Sat about future store cattle trade getting more difficult if lots of people are forced onto UC from the furlough scheme.

In other news both Sedge and Exeter SQQ averaged around £2.09/10 ppk for lambs today, well down on the week at both centres.

( And Exeter had the Beltex show and sale of prime lambs today in those figures )

As an employer who has furloughed staff, I would be very interested in your source for this.

And this (my highlighting).

Apart from a single speculative article in the Telegraph, I see nothing to indicate any of what you have written is true.
GUTH being the external optimist once again Are you guys not sick of it or are you just tugging the old boy along?

Ha ha not so much of the old thanks.

On the store cattle, I don't think they are out there in any great numbers so prices may well hold up better than some think even if the prime price does drop a shade over the next few months.
