Sorry, didn't make myself clear enough. I see a Brexit trade talks abandonment next month as the biggest danger to the current strong sheep trade.
I wouldn't panic to much on that front... With the financial situation here & in Europe & the rest of the world even, a deal will be done be last minute... People are starting to loose their jobs then we'll start to see this resession in all its might. Imagine no deal on top of that.....? It just cant happen both sides are financially on there arse so they'll agree in the end me thinks.......

Exactly what I thought but clearly wrong. If Brexit talks were abandoned next month wouldn't help, particularly the store trade

UK lamb prices are still behind every other country in the world, a shortage of sheep meat world wide!

Forget about Brexit, it wont make much difference as events showed back in March/ start of April when the French banned imports of UK lamb as a political game by Macron, only for the French to start running out of lamb within 10 days and Macron had to backtrack and allow imports of UK lamb back in, same will happen next Jan as well if Brexit goes ahead but given the utter shambles of a UK government that we have currently I personally don't think brexit will happen at the end of the year and will be delayed 12 months at least!

I do hope so........... One more year of full SFP & guaranteed free trade woop..

Brexit won’t stop lamb exports to France, the idea that it will lead to some sort of ban on exports is pure bulls**t. Who “pays” the tariff in a Nd scenario Is the concern considering we have not done any deals elsewhere. Personally I agree with those who say it’s unlikely to happen.

Obviously alot of haulage on those lmbs and they will be late born alot of them, who's up buying them.

Not watched too many lots - Aberdeen area, Ireland (ewe lambs), and now Darlington (Walton?), Lockerbie (Walker?)

Edit - you don't even need to be on facebook to watch - just google United Auctions Facebook and go to their page. They are broadcasting from Oban and Lairg today, with lairg being the wooden rails and Oban being the metal.
