I would have thought whispers of an impending lockdown would have seen their orders increased rather than cancelled?

I was feeling very cynical a fortnight ago at Whitland! 🙄
I think they thought the slaughterhouses might get shut for a week etc , orders will increase next week if they didnt purchase this week

All the local butchers and wholesalers we supply upped their orders for beef leading up to the end of November for Xmas sales. They are all thinking people will be buying beef and lamb for Xmas rather than Turkey.
Lamb sales at the moment through butchers are very strong.
If family and friends are stopped from meeting together at Christmas then I think it will be Beef or lamb . Who is going to buy a big turkey and have no-one to eat it . I think it's looking good for beef and lamb for the foreseeable future .
