Hope they weren’t the same ones he was buying that used to appear from Ireland in Carlisle
York had an Irish market on a Saturday and he would of shipped the majority of them across. He could certainly buy a lot of cattle. The fields around his farm were constantly full of beast and they would change every week. His wagons ran 24hrs a day.

Dad used to say those fields going into York used to be full of Irish cattle nearer to the old mart. Some of it will be shopping centres now.

We sold black & white bulls to Keith Norman after foot and mouth. He was always fair to deal with. Think he supplied Burger King
I sent black and white bulls to to Boosbeck during F&M, He was as straight with me as anywhere that took cattle or sheep during that time, unlike some of them mentioned on here!!!!!!
And what happened to the initials name game???
Some names mentioned were proper Gentlemen and some wouldn't know the meaning of been a Gentleman (and still don't)
