We sold black & white bulls to Keith Norman after foot and mouth. He was always fair to deal with. Think he supplied Burger King

Bought lambs for cig mon, Lloyd maunders in Devon amongst others,nice bloke compared to 2 other sheep dealers mentioned on here this evening

Really nice fella. He would have folks in many marts buying for him on a daily basis. No mobile phones all land line. Still about in Lancashire I heard last

He used to ship a lot of cattle across from Ireland in the eighties.

I think it was the regular buyers from over the pennines saying that they needn't come if he was there that did it.

Dad used to say those fields going into York used to be full of Irish cattle nearer to the old mart. Some of it will be shopping centres now.

I sent black and white bulls to to Boosbeck during F&M, He was as straight with me as anywhere that took cattle or sheep during that time, unlike some of them mentioned on here!!!!!!
And what happened to the initials name game???
Some names mentioned were proper Gentlemen and some wouldn't know the meaning of been a Gentleman (and still don't)

I don't remember Arthur Pooley, will he be related to Frank Pooley? He's from Chorley area, Always have a good laugh with Frank at store marts nowadays, a good bloke.
