As a store buyer your margin stays the same?.....if one turns its toes up the losses just get bigger.As a store cattle cattle buyer, I can't see stores getting much less until the fat job eases, yes there may be an occasional price drop in a store market somewhere due to weather, lambing or covid, but spring is getting closer every week now some smaller summering cattle, which some of them look half buyable now if you have silage and straw these cattle will get a bit dearer because they usually do as grass starts to grow.
Will they get dearer if fat keeps getting dearer???? who knows, it's all just a bigger gamble, just a bigger game we all play around the store ring every week!!!!!!
Turnover just increases.
