Was told by our old vet to use it at weaning as we put the lambs at the other farm on good grass.which hasn't had sheep on it since Feb so should be clean of worms.been using last 3 years an each year they've just not 'done' when they should've been motoring.had at least 300 very poor lambs this year by November time, lost a few too. What problems have you had with it ??
This is going way ot, but were you drenching at weaning and moving straight to clean ground? Was told by our old vet to use it at weaning as we put the lambs at the other farm on good grass.which hasn't had sheep on it since Feb so should be clean of worms.been using last 3 years an each year they've just not 'done' when they should've been motoring.had at least 300 very poor lambs this year by November time, lost a few too.
Got new vet to PM them thought was going to be fluke but its not.gut was like mush.obviously got worms.
Probably a good product but no use for us.
Yes.This is going way ot, but were you drenching at weaning and moving straight to clean ground?
your selecting for resistance thenYes.
I was always told the opposite.Sell the best, improve the rest. One of the auctioneers always says that to me. Shift the poor ones and feed the good ones. Never do it. They are all inside on feed.
or theres imports on the way lolABP have cut the kill to three days lambs are too dear (or they don’t have the orders)
What’s Zolvix? Is it a dear drench?
That’s always my plan. Nice job selling quality sheep.I was always told the opposite.Sell the best, improve the rest.
Or they aren’t paying enough to get them
Did they suggest doing a check for wormer resistance? Was told by our old vet to use it at weaning as we put the lambs at the other farm on good grass.which hasn't had sheep on it since Feb so should be clean of worms.been using last 3 years an each year they've just not 'done' when they should've been motoring.had at least 300 very poor lambs this year by November time, lost a few too.

They are now suggesting to incorporate it into your existing worm control programme to extend the useful life of the other classes of wormer.Yes, and it's for emergency use only. A class of drench that mustn't be misused to let in resistance. Vet thought it very wrong to take it off POM list.

In time and given no new product there will be places where sheep can't be kept@Henarar is right, you are selecting for resistance then but I'm surprised that a population big enough to cause a major issue has developed over three years. Sounds like it has though
