How much difference does a bloody kilo make on a lamb chop size...they ain’t big enough for me as it is...need to be 32 kilos
Agree with this 30 kilo dead lambs looks a decent box of meat. I honestly think these poxy things supermarkets sell are putting people off as it looks dear for such small chops etc

Agree, the wife cooked supermarket chops last night. I looked in the pan and asked "what are you lot having?"

They were titchy little things, a mouse would have starved if they would have nicked one!

But that 'decent box of meat' has a big price tag, half as much again as a 20kg box full.

Lamb is already an expensive meat option. A pack containing 2 big chops from a 30kg lamb would look damned expensive against a pack of pork, beef or chicken. A pack of 2 chops from an 18kg lamb are priced high enough to put many off.

I think it’s dear because they are killed so small though. Kill/cut/retailing costs would be a lot lower for bigger lambs per kilo imo.
