Pickstock base is 2.80Any prices for Cull OTM cows please. Looking at Foyles/ABP. Got a mix plain and fat.
I've not heard of culls dropping? Could have been the difference in entry as you sayAshford down almost £20/head for cull ewes today according to Ahdb. Anyone there to see the trade? Poor ewes pulling the avg down? Was thinking of taking some in tomorrow but might hold off now...
@Wooly @Frank-the-Wool
They'd probably be 3-5 quid cheaper on the week I'd of thought, there was less men willing to give over £100What were they like?
1ml per 10 kiloHow many mls of alamycin do you give a ewe?
Was told today that export costs are more than expectedLamb kill's are now certainly being delayed due to the problems over paperwork to get the meat 20 or so miles across a bit of dirty water!
If it carry's on for very long i hate to say it but it will certainly effect farm gate prices!

My point was all the hand wringing going on over the short stretch of channel , when huge boats of cattle being regularly exported from southern ireland ,Not a new thing, been happening for years. Thousands shipped to north Africa, Turkey and Spain every year. Not a fan of the trade myself but its a big thing for the farmers in RoI trying to help balance supply/demand. Up until now the animal welfare campaigners have zero success in slowing it down.
