Apology accepted and in turn apologies for being short it's just sometimes quite a pain to try and find any prices and have to trawl through several pages of discussion first . No offence intended.

The 3 I know were moaning like buggery. Hence my view on it.To be fair they weren’t complaining just stating fact. They have had it good and the pendulum has now swung the other way. Such is life.
Never had anything to do with them but the ones I have seen have been petsWhat are Icelandic’s like? A friend has some but their all on the bucket with him
Thanks. The condescending tone of your reply really helped me understand. The clue's in the name, price tracker thread not prices from 40 years ago discussion thread. If you want to discuss the relative impacts of inflation, living costs, meaningful salary values and lamb prices throughout the decades then start a specific thread please.
Is yous still speaking???I don’t really come here for prices and I think most others are like me and just come here so we don’t have too talk too the mrs at night [emoji86][emoji23]

If you are referring to me then I was replying to someone who stated hogg prices were lower in in 1992 than was stated in a mart report. As this is a price tracker and I I have been selling before then up to and including now I thought it would be useful to show reckoning throughout this period.
I hope this helps you understand which thread you are on and what purpose it is intended to serve from now onwards.
As @Jackov Altraids posted, farmers in general are producing commodities round about COP. Meanwhile, despite low food prices, there are folks in full-time work relying on food banks to get by and many others that are hand to mouth.
The question is, who benefits from all this underpriced labour and cheaply produced food?
Possibly. I'm thinking more corporate greed.Politicians, hungry people create trouble and vote for others.
Markethill livestock sales,Just here reading the Irish farmers journal and see a mart report from the North. Any value here?

When are we getting sedge market report?Yet more evidence to the farmers on here that spend all their time trying to talk UK prices down that UK sheep price's are one of the lowest worldwide...
The above sheep would not get past £278 in the UK currently!
