I think it would be worth any buyers having a look up to Carlisle weaners on a Wednesday.Mostly all TB4.Plenty bargains to be had. I cant understand why some of these Sedgemoor buyers dont book a double decker and get themselves up there.

Farmers in the North of England have the benefit over South-West farmers of not being tied through loyalty to dumpy pot-bellied hairy native breeds. They are able to use modern superior beef bulls on both dairy and suckler cows.

A nice day out! It's lucky that fodder and feeds so cheap to help everyone get out of these dear cattle!

He used to buy a load from Frome on Friday and more from sedge on Saturday, he bought lots of our best calves and sent them north

You may well have done, nearly knew which ones he would buy before we got to market.

Not really, getting older, some haulage issues and TB probably all contributed. He died a year or so back.
