They would if I bid it or not take it at all, up to them
You wouldnā€™t get the stock then in most auctions up north. You have too play by their rules.
When you get above a certain point they shouldnā€™t take small bids anyway or everyone will try it and you end up doing the last Ā£500 in tiny bids and take all day about it. This means the buyers get lazy and the price starts too drop off. If you get a whizz of an auctioneer the trade stays up as the buyers are kept alert and keen!

Itā€™s the exact same as me bidding 10p at store lambs when theyā€™ve been going up in halves. Itā€™s just mucking about!

STIRLING?! STIRLING?! Iā€™d be happy if I could stop at Stirling! Thatā€™s only 5 hours in the car. Iā€™m just getting into the drive when I hit Stirling usually! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Dingwall is 6 and a bit hours of driving and 380 miles from Thelwall viaduct. A bit further to Quoybrae and Stornaway.
You must drive faster than me! Iā€™m about 30 miles from Thelwall and Dingwall is a 8 hour drag! Thatā€™s not including a break on the M74 somewhere. Usually Annandale.

I do Stirling in the day, anywhere further up Iā€™ve got a B&B I use. Good way too kill myself Iā€™d have thought doing Dingwall and home in a day! šŸ˜‰

yes correct, Gwilym Richards used to sell at Gloucester he was really fast ,(moved over to wales now and does the suff at builth ) many complained he didnt give people time to bid at the end , but kept buyers on their toes for fear of missing out , didnt give them time to think really , averages were always higher with him in charge , the penny pinchers never commit to higher bids if given time anyway , you either want the stock or not .

Wouldnā€™t do there and back, but Iā€™m sure Iā€™d do it one way in well under six. Remember doing Ringwood to Inverness Airport in a hire Corsa in five and a half hours one night, after the plane was cancelled.
